As the saying goes, "All work but no play makes Jack a dull boy." In every volume, Coffee Talk with ESCO chats up our team mates to find out more about their passion off work. We are excited to have Eric M, 3D Visualizer Artist share with us about his hobby.
Hello! My name is Eric. M, 3D Visualizer Artist.
My love for miniature scale modeling started in my childhood days when my parents got me a model kit from the anime, Mobile Suit Gundam as a birthday present.
As my fondness for this hobby grew over the years, I became dissatisfied with simply "snap-fitting" the parts together. That thirst for improvement drove me to undergo a course which taught me advanced techniques such as seam line removals, airbrushing as well as diorama conceptualization and creation.
Under the guidance of my mentor, I entered a competition and represented Singapore in the Junior Category of the Bandai Action Kits Asia Cup in Hong Kong and was awarded 1st-Runner-Up.
"Miniature scale modeling has evolved into a medium of artistic expression and a way of life for me that I incorporated it into part of my wedding proposal to my wife."
The possibilities are limitless.
